At the General Meeting on September 4, 2007, the 14 newest Zanies were formally announced and welcomed into the Krewe. That evening, each received his or her official Krewe jacket and shirt, and a set of Mardi Gras beads. During the meeting, many of the new members received their "official" pirate names, as well!
The newest members are Lucy and Terry Bannister of League City, Texas; James and Susan Johnston, of Bayou Vista, Texas; Donald Kennedy, Jr., of Pasadena, Texas; Mark Mahady, of Galveston, Texas; Anndee Nelon, of Houston, Texas; Gene Perard, of Houston, Texas; Pamela Petty, of Galveston, Texas; Jennifer Powell, of Galveston, Texas; Scott Rein, of Bayou Vista, Texas; John Thayer, of Lake Jackson, Texas; Jack Torregrossa, of Galveston, Texas; and Todd R. Walker, of Dickinson, Texas.
